The Heraldry

The blue half of the background symbolizes our aerospace education mission.

The green half of the background symbolizes our ES mission.

The compass also represents ES but also our strive to lead our cadets to become better citizens of our country. Also, the compass is to represent our squadron name after all it is named after our county, Desoto, which was named after Hernando DeSoto. Furthermore, the compass goes hand in hand with our new motto, Find A Way or Make one. The gold band represents our strive to excellence in all of these areas.

The N and W in red are to symbolize our location in the state. We are the most North Western squadron in the Mississippi Wing.

The "Est. 1985" symbolizes the date our squadron was chartered.

Our new Motto : Find A Way or Make one. This is to show our willingness to not accept defeat in our endeavors. Instead we will strategize to attain and create an even better outcome. This in turn will teach our cadets to become better leaders by never giving up on something they believe in.
